InterNations, the largest global expat network in the world, with 4.7 million members in 420 cities worldwide, has named Valencia, Spain as #1 expat city in the world!
The annual survey has been in existence since 2017. The survey conducted in 2022 included nearly 12,000 respondents, representing 177 nationalities living in 181 countries. Other considerations involved in the selection focused on personal satisfaction in the areas of quality of life, ease of settling in to one’s new environment, personal finance, working abroad, and expat essentials.” Subcategories included leisure options, travel and transit, health and wellbeing, safety and security, environment and climate.
Valencia edged-out Dubai and Mexico City, who were named second and third best cities, respectively.
